//Bohemian Rhapsody//
A VERY interesting song, you may love it, you may hate it (most will hate it when they listen to it for the first time), but here are the lyrics, do take a look, it is really intriguing:
Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go
A little high, little low
Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me
Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooo, Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine
Body's aching all the time
Goodbye everybody - I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, ooo - (anyway the wind blows) I don't want to die
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all
I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening me
Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo Figaro - magnifico
But I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come easy go - will you let me go
Bismillah! No - we will not let you go - let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go - let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go - let me go
Will not let you go - let me go (never) Never let you go - let me go
Never let me go - ooo No, no, no, no, no, no, no -
Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me for me for me
So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh baby - can't do this to me baby
Just gotta get out - just gotta get right outta here
Ooh yeah, ooh yeah
Nothing really matters
Anyone can see
Nothing really matters - nothing really matters to me

So you understand what this whole song is about? I admit it is rather confusing, especially the opera part in the middle. There are some terms in the opera section that needs explaining to the understanding of the song..like:
Scaramouch - A historical novel by Rafael Sabatini about a romantic adventure and tells the story of a young aristocrat during the French Revolution. It also means a stock character in commedia dell'arte and pantomime (what the hell is that), depicted as a boastful coward or buffoon according to Dictionary.com
Gallileo - a famous astronomer known for being the first to use a refracting telescope.
Bismillah - Arabic word, every Surah in the Qur'an begins with the usual formula of 'bismillah' which means "In the name of Allah" .
Beelzebub - the name of a god worshipped in the Philistine city of Ekron, an alternate name for Satan or the Devil in Christian writings.
Some people say that Freddie Mecury was struggling with AIDS at that time when he wrote that song (he did die of AIDS in 1991), thus the song contains many lyrics with reference to death ("Mama, life had just begun, but now I've gone and thrown it all away" and "So you think you can love me and leave me to die"), but then this song as written in 1975, 6 years before the AIDS epidemics in 1981, and 16 years before he died of AIDs, so God knows what he is thinking? Maybe he is a psychic and knows he will get AIDS in the future? dotz.
Some people also suggest that the song refers to death sentence (but where, I don't see it?), or maybe it is about a man killing another man, then he went from denial stage to anger stage to acceptance stage? Who knows?
But this is what makes this song wonderful, no one knows that this song is about. As quoted from Brian May and Roger Taylor "I find that it (knowing the meaning of the song) destroys them in a way because the great thing about about a great song is that you relate it to your own personal experiences in your own life. I think that Freddie was certainly battling with problems in his personal life, which he might have decided to put into the song himself. "
I love this song, the thunderbolt of lightening part very nice...and i ADORE the 'MAGNIFICO' part, and of course the part where it says "so you can STONE me and spit in my eye", that's my strength...stoning people...
Anyway, listen to the original here and watch a video this performance by Suzie McNeil (female rendition) from Rockstar INXS here (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED).
If you are too lazy to download, here is a link with the song, it is call "LOST RHAPSODY", it is a flash about Lost with Bohemian Rhapsody as backgroud music, DAMN FUNNY!! Must watch, even if you don't watch Lost, the flash is still very funny.. http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/272811
