Prelims is over, like last week. Haha.
Got back geepee today. Can't say I'm escstatic over the results, but I guess getting through the essay relatively unscathed is already a reason to celebrate given the insane marking.
Under normal circumstance with humane marking, my essay marks would be considered painfully average, just like my PAE results, "on par with most high-calibre JC students" for all 3 categories, which is a nicer way of saying you are distinctly average and totally not worthy of the scholarship.
But 知足常乐, I shall be happy that at least I passed, since it would probably be one of the few subjects that I can pass (chem and bio..*coughs)
I thought I would be jumping for joy after the last paper on Thursday, but somehow the sense of euphoria is just not there. Don't get me wrong, I'm super glad it's over, but I'm just not overjoyed I guess. Numbing effects of taking so many exams this year.
Immediate post-prelims activities was fun though, and by immediate, I meant the 4 days of non-mugging and pure fun that followed the end of prelims. I did all the stuff that I've been wanting to do since like...god knows when.
Post-prelims school activities, like having revision lectures and remedials till 5 pm is not fun though.
Right after Chem paper 1 on Thursday, I went Malaysia to see my superduper adorable cousin.

He's still as cute as ever, and I think he resembles me a lot, in the sense that he LOVES to eat and he's super 贪吃. I miss him like mad while mugging for prelims, cause when you mug, your mind tends to drift off, so you tend to have more time to think about this kind of stuff.
Friday was a rather eventful day, I actually woke up at 6+ to follow my brother to school in my dad's car, so that I can go for a run at East Coast Park.
It was so painfully obvious that I haven't been exercising for a long time because I started panting like a dog just 1.5 mins into the run. Must be the oxygen debt Mr Terng has been talking about
Oh and I bought my first TOTO in my life. I mean it's 5 million dollar...why not? Actually I didn't intend to buy it in the first place, just so happen this man was selling TOTO at the place we had breakfast, so why not
Friday afternoon was spent at Kbox largely. It felt so good to be actually out there, having some kind of entertainment, rather than painstakingly trying to memorise the Krebs Cycle or some arcane Economics Theory. (click here and scroll down to the second definition, it's funny how they try to explain the meaning of arcane using Economics Theory as an example, how very apt..)
Saturday was spent with meng, cheng and terence. Watched "The Invasion" at AMK Hub, and gosh, AMK Hub is boring. And if you ask me to sum up the movie in 1 word, it would be "vomit"
*spoiler alert*
It's not cause the movie was so bad that it was vomit-inducing or anything like that. It's just that the infected people in the movie happen to spread the virus by vomitting at people directly, or into their drinks, etc.
NO! I'm not joking! It's damn funny, you have to see it to believe it, especially the scene on the train, where vomit was spewing all over the place. Oh, and apparently I would fit in perfectly, because all I have to do to fit in is to stone, cause what the virus does is to remove any emotion from the infected host, rendering them in a stone mode so to speak.
And yea, there are like 1001 loop holes in the plot...1001 unexplained stuff...but at the end of the day, I still got the thrill out of watching the movie, even though it's cheap thrill from seeing Nicole Kidman run from those "aliens". Yet at the same time, I get a good laugh seeing all those vomit flying all over the place.
It's a rare 2 in 1 package. I think this movie should be classify as a "Horror Comedy".
*end spoiler*
Ok, I don't usually do this, but I'm so tired now...I decided to continue this tomorrow...check this space for updates
