Taiwan Part I: Donuts & Xiao Long Baos

//Taiwan Part I: Donuts & Xiao Long Baos//

Chinese New Year break starts today officially! Which = time for me to upload photos from TIP finally on my blog! Since xlb is so excited over the donuts, I shall be nice and post more pictures of the donuts and of course XIAOLONGBAOsss.

Famous "Mister Donut"

Look at the queue...

Such a wide variety...

They even rate the donut..5 stars being sweetest, 1 star being least sweet...

The kids you saw in the previous photo, who came with another young (but older than them) kid to buy DONUTS...

More donuts...

Ok...now for the pictures of XIAOLONGBAOsss and many more other stuff from Ding Tai Feng, it's kind of funny, cause I took a name card, then the first outlet I saw was some Orchard Road outlet, I was like "there's orchard road in Taiwan too?!" before I realised oh, that's the Singapore Outlets. Haha...Ding Tai Feng has outlets like even in South Korea and USA...and ALL the outlets are printed on the name card...

Ding Tai Feng!

The "86" is the queue number...

The crowd is crazy too, that's my buddy's mum and sister (the one in pink) by the way...

XIAO LONG BAOsss

See the soup inside...like OMG...

Some other dian xing...that taste just like xlb but with a prawn on top...

Close up!

Smokey smokey, this is some glutineous rice thing...

Closeup!

Of course I couldn't resist! I think I ate like 5 out of 10 xlb...haha...cause his family are super nice...they know I love to eat xlb..so they really really never eat...so touched...

Time for desert! Some xlb-lookalike thing but with YAM inside...

Hmm..haha..forgot the name...just remember it's yummy...

Another yummy dessert...that's the Yu Cheng uniform I'm wearing by the way...I like the vest thinggy...

Where all the xlbs are made!

Looking at my photos, I realised there's so so many photos I want to post...like the photos of my 8D's house....(8D = buddy's..haha..as quoted from kaiherng's blog)...his school...the lessons I went for...all the food from the night market...spastic photos from the tour....and I think I finally got the time...since it's CNY break

Haha, it's like Feb already...everything seems back to normal...school's been really busy and all...lots of stuff has happened...but still...I think I'm still reliving the memories in my mind very frequently...especially when I'm stoning on my bus rides home....

I wonder how long it will take for me to start to stop thinking about it at all...not that I want it to happen, but I think it's inevitable...

Long Long Week

//Long Long Week//

I really think I am getting dumber. Or maybe lazier.

It's been a long week. There are so many times I felt like blogging, after my first ever tuition session with my tutee on Monday, after the headache-inducing 4 hour nap I had on Tuesday, after comm serve and going to SCS (Singapore Cancer Society) on Thursday, after going back to St John training on Fri, and of course the H4-1 outing on Sat...

But in the end I didn't blog a single time.

I was simply too tired to do so, or lazy perhaps.

My command of the language is deteriorating fast. I just wrote the worst essay of my life on Thursday during GP lesson.

Great, now I can't write English AND Chinese properly anymore.

I'm attempting to do Maths tutorial 9a now by the way.

Maths makes me mad. (alliteration!) Like seriously.

I realised there isn't a logical flow to the sentences I just typed. Proves my point. My english sucks more now.

Had my first ever tuition session with my tutee on Monday. Wasn't as hard as I expected. In fact times flies when I'm teaching Maths. I think I can teach him Maths for the full 3 hours.

It's teaching Science that sucks. Especially when the curious kid kept asking questions. Questions that have totally no relevance to the syllabus. Questions that are probably not related to Science at all .But the job of the teacher is to answer all queries of the student. So I tried my best to answer the questions he asked in the simplest term I can find.

Actually I think I suck at making complex concepts simple. In fact, I can make simple concepts complex. I mean I can't even explain the concept of "atmosphere". I was stumped when the kid asked me why there's so much nitrogen in the atmosphere. Well, the textbook said the bacteria needs them, and bacteria are important to us, so that's how I answered him. Then his question became "Why is bacteria important to us", I was stunned this time round.

How am I supposed to explain all the cheem cheem bacteria-related concepts etc to him in simple language? Well, I resorted to something I should't have. "Well, it's not in your syllabus, you can go check online if you are really interested. Like you can go wikipedia!" I really said that, and to edmund if you're reading, yes, he loves to read wikipedia too. I almost burst out laughing when he told me that.

Mondays are now long long days for me. Tuition from 4-7. Eeks.

Tuesday, in comparison is friggin' short. I end at 1. And I don't have Chem H3. So on Tue, I actually went home early! For the first time in a long long time. Slacking and wasting time at the class bench after school isn't really something I should be doing this year.

But instead of going home and mug, or stay in school and mug, I went home and slacked. -_-" Took a 4 hour long nap. And I'm not a nap person at all. Woke up with a headache, blocked nose, etc, feeling very sick. And the worst thing is I couldn't sleep that night till like 4 am in the morning.

Oh, did I mention I'm sick again? Like after recovering from my previous illness for 3 days, I'm sick again. Makes me wonder if I even recovered in the first place. Wonder if it's the weather, the flu bug that's infecting like everyone in school, or is it just me?

Ok, this is getting very boring. Plus I'm feeling horrible now with a combination of blocked nose that cause my whole head to feel like exploding (maths may have made it worse I supposed).

And to make matters worse, mum is nagging at me, for forgetting to switch off the lights and fans in the dinning room, and for not sleeping early. Actually, she's probably right, I should sleep early. But any form of nagging/noise/talking at this instant is irritating.

Don't talk to me when I'm feeling lousy and horrible.

And my aircon doesn't seem to be working. It's friggin' hot.

Ok, I am signing off now. When I'm not in the mood, I just can't blog. Just like how all clothes seem ugly when I'm not in the shopping mood.

To sum up the rest of the stuff I initially want to blog about..

Comm serve at BHS makes me go 0.0 (wow)
St John makes me :)
H4 makes me :D
And memories of SCS attachment and Taiwan immersion kept flooding back to me these few days for some reason.

The donuts are so delicious, and the kids are so cute!

I miss pigging out late at night like at 2am+ outside 7-11 with them.

I miss my room (sort of) in Zhi Qun's house, they even put a small Singapore flag on the table. I miss his house too!

Or staying out late every night even though it's a school day tomorrow.

I even miss the bus ride with super comfy seats...

I miss Taiwan. :(

Quiet Day

//Quiet Day//

I really should be studying for Bio SPA now, since it's really important cause it's counted as part of our A level results for Bio...but I just have this sudden urge to blog, like I always do when I'm supposed to be mugging or doing something important. I had a urge to blog during Promos last year, but right after promos, blogging doesn't seem so appealing anymore.

Been feeling quite depressed this few days...maybe depressed is not the right word...it's just a mega fluctuation of emotions everyday...feeling high, feeling sad, feeling bored...

Why do things have to change
I am a brushstroke on a big canvas
That's not by me
- Quiet Day (George)

It really sucks to see changes happening around me, beyond my control. I really do feel like "I'm a brushstroke on a big canvas, that's not by me"....it feels as if I totally have no control over my life...like I'm just part of a painting that's painted by someone else.

It sucks not being in control, but being in control sucks too. I just spent my days sometimes wishing I have more power over my emotions, not allowing the actions or words of others affect mentally, but it's not possible for me...i am just that weak, and sometimes I wished I have more control of how I want to live my life...

And it's funny how I absolutely dread the feeling of being in control, cause I hate to make decisions for others, to the point that I dread making suggestions sometimes. Maybe I should really isolate myself.

Self-isolation. (somehow this reminds me of "wilsoooon!" cause Miss Lim always talk about the movie Castaway when she mentioned "wilsoooon!" ok...a bit no link I know)

I think I can classify myself as being in a weird mood now.

Really weird.

I remembered when we played the adjective game during CT session, I stepped forward when she mentioned temperamental. How true. The slightest and insignificant thing can spoil my day, but I can feel indifferent about major important stuff.

Seriously, there hasn't been much exciting stuff in my life lately, so the ramblings above isn't about anything in particular, it's just everything that has been going on, school, family, relationships with people...

To look past this hour, this day
It's exciting but it is
too big to imagine for me
- Quiet Day (George)

I am really living my life, day by day now...as in I don't dare to think too far into the future, cause it's really a scary thought when I did think about what's gonna happen by the time this year ends...so I'm just trying to live in the present, enjoy the moment (though I don't really seem to be doing so at this very moment) and just hope times don't pass so fast this year.

Kind of weird right, I'm complaining about my life now, yet I know very well myself that I don't want the year to end so fast.

That is why I hope its okay
For me just be now
I just need to have a quiet day
Watch things fade away
I think I'll just sit here
And watch you all go by
- Quiet Day (George)

I really like this song "Quiet Day" from "George" (some Australian band), it has a therapatic effect on me, especially on days when I'm like extremely busy, or when I'm feeling really down, cause it provides an outlet for me to really imagine myself in that scenario in the song...a quiet day...

It's on such days that I really crave for a quiet day...to just let it all go, not just all the work, but all the emotional baggages and so on too...how nice would it be to be totally free from all the crap in life...

Ok, I should stop living in my little fantasy and get back to reality.

Bio SPA, here I come.

Flag The Bus Early Campaign

//Flag The Bus Early Campaign//

"One of the most common complaints made to the SBS Transit customer hotline is that Bus Captains drive off from the bus stop -- without picking up passengers.

But it's not always that the Bus Captain is at fault. Investigations, including eyewitness accounts, have shown that commuters are sometimes to blame as well – they don't flag the bus early enough and wait till the bus is moving off before waving frantically."
- SBS Website

While I agree with what was written up there, and I admit that I was guilty of that sometimes, I never get pissed with the driver when such incidents happened. I only get pissed with myself for not flagging the bus in time.

BUT when there are a lot of buses at the bus stop, and your bus is the one right at the end, such that you don't get a chance to flag for it, neither can you walk towards it since it's so far away that it's not even in the bus bay yet, you have the right to be pissed at the driver if the bus left just like that, without even checking to see if there's anyone at the bus stop who wants to board the bus.

You have even more rights to be angry if this happened to you twice in 2 weeks, and it didn't even happened during peak hour.

It's when such things happened to you that you would feel that campaigns like "Flag The Bus Early Campaign" is a total joke, and is totally a waste of resource. Such resources can be used to upgrade some of the non-aircon bus to aircon ones, or to increase the frequency of buses during peak periods, or hire better drivers that have more common sense.

By the way, if such things happen to you, DO NOT HESITATE to feedback this to SBS or TIBS.

For SBS, you can send them a feedback form at this URL: http://feedbk.sbstransit.com.sg/INTCFMS.NSF/internet?openform

Alternatively, you can call up their customer service hotline at 1800-287 2727.

To be more dramatic, send them a complaint letter at:

School

//School//

I realised my life has always revolved around school.

Ms Lim was asking us whether we remember the things we did when we were 3 years old during GP lessons, cause we were talking about Singapore education system and somehow, the topic on Kindergarden came up...

Then I tried to recall my life when I was 3 years old, and what keeps popping into my mind was the first day in school in Kindergarden...

I remembered certain "scenes" particularly clearly, like how I was sitting there with all the other kids, with parents crowding around the classroom...

The next thing I can remember was we did colouring that day. We were supposed to colour the elephant black, so I did, and in fact I was one of the first ones in class to finish. But I accidentally coloured the eyes too, so what's lying in front of me in the colouring book was a pile of black mess. I looked around, realising all the other kids are still colouring, then I looked back at my black mess, and I freaked out. I don't know why, but I just feel like "Shit, I screwed up on my first day of school already." and I started crying.

Like really loudly and attention seeking kind.

And I remembered I kept crying, and the next scene I remembered was the classroom was empty (with no kids that is), and my mum and aunt were there with my teacher (Miss Ang!) trying to comfort me (who was still crying).

Kind of freaky how I can remember my first day of school in Kindergarden in such great details.

It's even freakier for me to realise that I cannot remember anything about my life before I went Kindergarden. So in other words, the "earliest memory" I have about my life was my first day of school in Kindergarden.

See, I told yout my life revolves around school.

I also remembered my first day of school in primary one and secondary one, but ironically I cannot really remember to great details what happened during my first day in Hwa Chong JC, except for the fact that there were a lot a lot of academic talks, and that my OG played Whacko for ice breakers. What I do remember about my orientation in Hwa Chong wasn't the games we played or the programme organised by the council, it was all the times spent learning and rehearsing the dance with the class for the Campfire performance.

Speaking of class, I was really excited about meeting the Junior Class. But now that we've met them, the excitement is gone. Back to the mundane and monotonous life. Nevermind, there's still campfire to look forward to. Some of them (or maybe most?) looked really sad to be in that class...maybe cause most of them don't know each other very well at all, yes even the Chinese High guys look like they don't know each other at all.

Hopefully this will change with time, it doesn't really affect us that much, but for me, if I were to suffer in class that I don't like for 2 years, I would die, so I think it's better to make the best out of it and try to be more enthusiastic about stuff.

Back to what I was saying, my life really revolves around school.

I don't have much friends outside of school, all my friends are either primary school, secondary school or JC friends. I don't have church friends, neighbours around the same age, I'm not close to my cousin, so basically, all my friends are met through school (as in ones that I still keep in contact with that is). It's really sad and pathetic.

And I found myself most comfortable talking about school-related stuff. Gossips about teachers, schoolmates, talk about subjects, how I hate Maths, and so on. All of them are school related. Probably cause I talk to people in school mainly anyway.

I need to reflect.

But I would probably spend the time catching up with my ever lagging studies, or the probable thing I would do with my time is to idle it away.

I would try to sleep before 12 everyday from now onwards! Sleeping at 3+ almost everyday over the past 3 years have reduced my health level so much that I would get sick once a month. (Don't ask me why I sleep at 3+ everyday, I just idle my time away.) Though it's not some major illness, I'm tired of getting a sore throat, followed by a blocked nose and a cough almost every month.

So since the doctor advised me to sleep early, sleep early I shall!

I just realised the last few paragraphs have totally nothing to do with what I wrote in this entry at all...

2007

//2007//

I guess I better blog before 1st Jan 2007 is over.

I've been going out the past 2 days...Saturday it was with wilson ever and pauline...to sing and mug...and Sunday it was with the TIPpers...

It has been long since I last saw my classmates...I guess I was being a little irritating with my constant "In taiwan...blah blah blah..." talk but I just couldn't help it...apparently I'm still not back yet...

All sorts of things remind me of Taiwan...the basketball machine in arcade (which you can see EVERYWHERE from night market to arcade)...the doll-catching machine (which we love to play there..esp the yu cheng peeps cause of the tips we got from this master when we went for the recording of Guess^3)....

And coincidentally...when we walked from Suntec to Marina Square, I saw Conrad Hotel...the place where we had the Welcome Dinner when they were here...I've been to Suntec and Marina Square lots of time after they went back..but I never really did see Conrad Hotel again cause I always choose to walk via Citylink...just brings back memories...it seems like they came so long ago...

Sunday was an outing with the Taiwan Immersion peeps at Dhoby Ghaut...chio, kai herng, yuxiang, bing qian, alvin, chuan han and xinwei turned up...we wanted to catch a movie...but couldn't get tickets for the movie we wanted...so we ended up singing at KBox at Paradiz from 4.30 to 9...

After dinner...we just sat around talking at Istana Park...sharing "stories" would be the more appropriate term I think...at around 11..we decided to proceed to City Hall area to see the fireworks...and once again...I saw Conrad Hotel while walking to Esplanade...

The fireworks was...just a really special moment...

It wasn't like spectacular or really impressive...but it just felt so special...

I remember when the Taiwanese came to Singapore, we got to see fireworks display too when we were at Marina Bay...and I very clearly remembered my thoughts at that moment...

It's so beautiful, yet short-lived...

We were all enjoying the beautiful fireworks at that time...but before we know it, it's over...

So yesterday...at Esplanade...while watching the fireworks...the exact same thoughts were going through my head...except that I realised something else this time round...

Because it's short-lived, it's even more beautiful...

I learn to treasure it more...cause I know the fireworks display will be over soon...and that's what makes it even more beautiful...

36 days of TIP is just like fireworks...short but beautiful...

While watching the fireworks...I was wondering...is my buddy watching fireworks too? Since there's no time difference between Singapore and Taiwan...they must be celebrating New Year at that instant too I guess...

And it's really a great to end 2006 and start 2007 with people who share this wonderful memory with me...at least for this once...

To quote Chuan Han:
"A new year begins but memories of the past year stay..."

*I will be editing the entry with photos once I get them

Time Of Your Life

//Time Of Your Life//

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelf of good health and good time.
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial.
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while.
- Time Of Your Life (Green Day)

The 18 days in Taiwan is truly memorable but I really don't know where to start. There's just so many aspects of this trip that I don't want to forget and want to record it down.

My mum asked me what is the most memorable thing about this trip...and I couldn't answer her. Nothing really stood out. Every aspect of it was memorable.

This couple of days, I find myself browsing through all the photos I took there. Looking through the photos brought me back to the exact scenes they were taken and I could still clearly remember how I felt at that very instant the photo is taken.

But photographs are nothing but mere instances of our memories.

It just doesn't feel the same. Yes I could remember how I felt at that instant, but that feeling just can't be replicated. And in time to come, would I even remember the highs and lows, happy and sad times in Taiwan at all?

Kai Herng and I were chatting on MSN the other day, and he mentioned that this entire trip feels like a dream, and we just woke up from it.

I sort of agree with him, in the sense that everything here feels so familiar, it feels as though I've never left Singapore, and that the 18 days were mere figment of our imagination cause it really just whizzed past like that. And just like how you would forget a dream after you wake up from it, I'm afraid that memories of the trip will slowly fade with time.

But as of now, I am still not totally back yet. Physically I am here in Singapore, but mentally, I refuse to move on. I guess you can say I refuse to wake up from the beautiful dream. I still find myself lingering in Taiwan, thinking about the places we went and so on.

But there has to come a time to move on, and it will really be a sad thing when the time comes like Kai Herng said, but such is the nature of things, it can't be prevented.

Life has to go on.

And it's really frustrating to face the messy room that I have to clean up and the pile of untouched holiday assignment waiting for me to complete. It just shows me the harsh reality I have to face. I feel like I'm being pulled me out of the dream faster than I want.

Enough about the sad stuff, I want to remember the good things too...

The tour during the first few days before we went to our host family to stay really brought the 20 of us from Hwa Chong closer. Although we already know each other since June cause of all the dance practice and so on ...this is different.

Back then, we met up for dance practices, we met up to go out together when the Taiwanese came, but we still have our own closer friends and family in our lives that we can turn to. But in Taiwan, during the tour, we don't have our friends to rely on, we only have each other.

Of course in a group of 20, you can't be close to everyone, there'll always be some to that you can click better with...and unfortunately...there'll be some that you totally can't click with, or in some cases...repulsion.

To me, it's ok if I can't click with someone, I just minimise interaction with that person. It's not like that person is bad or I'm hard to get along with, it's just different frequency, so I reserve any judgment for this person in this kind of scenario.

But this is not always the case, somtimes interaction cannot be avoided, and certain interaction with certain individuals who did certain things tend to piss me off quite badly, though I tried very hard not to let it affect my mood.

I know a lot of what I typed above don't really make sense to you ...it's ok...I'm not talking about you..so fret not.

On the other end of the spectrum, Kai Herng, Clarence and Yuxiang really made the tour a much more enjoyable one, it's really fun exploring all the night markets of the places we went together, and keep eating like nobody's business.

And I really really want to thank Chio for making the 2 weeks in Yu Cheng so much more fun. All your weird antics really got me laughing and it's feel really good to have someone to talk to in a totally new environment like that. Seriously I would not have survived in Yu Cheng without you (other than my buddy of course).

And among the Yu Cheng HC people, I got along with Shuying (Ba!!) and Rebecca the best (other than Chio that is)...since we pretty much went out together every night after school since our buddies always go out together. You guys have been great company.

And there's Siowyi (go join the next superstar larz...love to sing so much), Hannah (stop sleeping during every lesson!!), Koon Yu (the shuai ge that everyone asks about) and Weixiang who went Yu Cheng too...thanks a lot for being part of the Yu Cheng memory...

And special thanks to....

Peck Yan... among the NJ peeps, I think I got to know you the best, since you sat in front of me during the recording of Guess^3. You must have been too crazy that day and laughed too much to trigger off a hyperventilation days later. And stop obsessing with your daughter names...

Tan Hui...my siao ding dong dance partner...really had lots of fun learning the Indian dance with you back in June and the Ares fac dance recently...it's nice to have someone to goof around with during dance practice...

Xin Wei...can't believe you're so easily spooked by ghost stories...should have told you more ghost stories that time in Hua lian when the bunch of us stayed up late and talked in the lobby...

CHUAN HAN BANG ZHU! Xin ku ni le!

More to come...the tour itself...irresistable taiwan food...the homestay...lessons in school....

Haha...sounds like some TV show or something...actually it's just a way to remind me what I wanted to blog next...

On an ending note....

BAI MA WANG ZI I AM!! MUAHAHAA!!

T.I.P: Lessons

//T.I.P: Lessons//

It's been long since my last update.

Actually I started writing this entry about a week ago...but since then I haven't really had the time to continue writing because I would reach home everyday at around 11+ (from shopping and eating and playing outside of course)...and after some dilly dallying and chatting with Kendall's parents plus packing, it would already be 1+ and I would be so tired that I would just go sleep...

So today, I finally decided to finish this entry...before I return to Singapore, which is really soon...I only have 2 more days in Kendall house and 1+ more day in hotel before going back to Singapore...

There's just so much interesting things...or rather new stuff that I experienced here...that I want to blog about and post pictures etc...

Food here is fantastic...weather is fine (except last Sunday when it dropped to 10 degrees)...most of the time it's around 15-20 degrees...on colder days it can drop below 15 or rise above 20 on the warmer days...

Though I've only been in Taiwan for almost 2 weeks...I feel very much at ease here...like I've always lived here and is very used to the lifestyle here...

Since there's so much I want to talk about, I shall break it up into smaller parts...and talked about lessons first...

Lessons here are rather interesting...they have lessons the whole day from 8 to 5...and even in High school level (which is our JC level)...they take all subjects...including history...geography etc...

It's really late now...and there's lessons tomorrow...I shan't go into details...next time maybe...

Here are some photos...

This is their classroom

They actually have Magic as a CCA...these are his classmates entertaining me with their magic tricks during breaks in between lessons.

CHINESE LESSONS! And the first 2 periods I had with his class is CHINESE! OMG! Totally cheem. And they write from right to left, up to down (even for their chinese text books)...most of their text is in wen yuan wen...as in those cheem cheem old style of writing that no one understands....

This is their English lessons...my buddy got 3/100 for his translation test yesterday!!! But it's mainly my fault though, cause he brought me out till 11+...so he had no time to study...the test today (which he studied for)...he scored 97/100...

The English teacher keep asking me read the examples (they have a English version of out ci yu shou ce, and I was asked to read the zao ju) for the class...and for once...I feel that my English is good...

But then there's this classmate of Kendall...Bo Jun...he can speak English very very very well...

I put my Issues and Ideas on the table...and he could actually read out an entire paragraph (about democracy) with very standard pronounciation (much more standard than mine...even with an American accent...cause Taiwan is learning American English)...though he don't understand what the whole paragraph is about...

On a completely unrelated note, Death Note II is out already here...for quite some time...hopefully I can catch it before returning to Singapore...

More to come...

Leaving On A Jet Plane

//Leaving On A Jet Plane//

All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go
I'm standing here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
- John Denver (Leaving On A Jet Plane)

In less than 12 hours time, I would be flying off to Taiwan. And I finished packing just about an hour ago. That's how efficient I am.

Am I excited?

Not really, not right now. I was 2 weeks ago, but as the date drew nearer, the excitement sort of got replaced by other emotions.

I would say I'm more worried than excited at this point of time. I am ALWAYS worried whenever I go for a camp, chalet, or overseas. I would be worried about forgetting to pack some important stuff, like how I forgot to bring camera when I went Thailand last Dec...or how I forgot to bring sandals when I went for my last St John camp in sec 4.

And I worry about homework. What would happened to the piles of untouched holiday assignments? What would happen to all the tests that is going to happen when school reopens?

Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe I hate to go
- John Denver (Leaving On A Jet Plane)

As much as I really want to go Taiwan, there's a part of me that longs to stay in Singapore. Although my life has been pretty boring so far this holidays, there are still tonnes of things I would miss when I'm in Taiwan...

I would miss all the shows I watched...all the outings with the class and squadmates...my mum's cooking (though this can be compensated by all the good food in Taiwan)...and of course MAO MAO! (mao as in hair...cause he's got lots of hair)

He is just so so so adorable. I am really really going to miss him a lot when I'm in Taiwan.

With all that being said, I'm still positive that I would have a great time over there.

I was looking at some of the photos this afternoon, photos of the Taiwanese when they came to Singapore. Then I realised I never really blogged about what happened when they came, or posted any photos for that matter. So shall post a few photos here before I leave for Taiwan.

That's me in Yu Cheng's uniform and Kai Herng in Yong Chun's uniform.

But this is what I will be wearing when I go there. Looks really... ...oriental doesn't it.

That's us goofing around at Singapore river, after they went to watch NDP.

Me and my dance partners, Siowyi and Tan Hui behind.

There are lots more photos...and every single one of them brings back memories of the times we spent together with the Taiwanese when they came...

I remembered the very first night, we (Kendall n I) went to Lau Pa Sat to have supper together with the rest of the TIP peeps, followed by a night walk along Singapore River. It was my first time in 17 years really walking along Singapore river at night too...

In just those 2 weeks, we brought them to tonnes of places in Singapore that even I wouldn't normally go...places like Little India, Singapore river, Clarke Quay...etc...

Though it was a really busy period for me at that time..with the submission of EOM, Chem SPA etc...but what I remember most is still the fun we had during that period...

For the next 23 days, I would be speaking lots and lots of Chinese...but it's ok, I still have my AQ to keep me connected to English.

I think I should be able to get internet access starting from 10th Dec (Sunday) when I start my homestay at Kendall's house, so I should be updating this blog with some photos.

See you guys on MSN!

Alphabets

//Alphabets//

A B C D E F G...I'm sure you can sing this song...but can you count how many alphabets are there altogether??

Shockingly some people can't!

I guess I know how to answer the AQ asking what should the priorities be for Singapore education system now.
